Institutions
Making public systems easier to understand, use, and hold accountable.
Neighborly was my first close look at public institutions and the software behind them. Building a municipal-bond platform meant working with city governments, banks, and regulators. The Berkeley blockchain-bond pilot fell through for political reasons, a reminder that getting the software right was only part of the job.
At PSE, I worked on privacy infrastructure for systems handling identity, money, and participation. The op-ed here, coauthored with Zac Williamson, argues that Ethereum needs privacy if it is to support more of that activity. I now approach public systems from a newcomer’s perspective at HabitaAR: helping people understand and navigate the institutions they depend on in Argentina.
