Privacy
Privacy for voting, identity, and everyday use of Ethereum.
My work on privacy started with a voting problem: if a ballot is public, a briber can check how someone voted. MACI, the project I led at PSE, uses encryption and secret key changes to make bribery less reliable while keeping the tally publicly verifiable.
Leading PSE widened the question to identity, payments, and the information people expose when using Ethereum. I helped refocus the organization on those problems and wrote its 2025 roadmap around private writes, private reads, and private proving. The op-ed I coauthored with Zac Williamson explains why that work matters: more financial activity on a public network should not mean more surveillance.
